Connect Claude to AJEMS

Add the AJEMS connector in Claude, sign in with your workspace details, and start asking questions about your data.

4 steps ~2 minutes Your workspace only
Before you start: have your AJEMS organisation name and secret key to hand. The secret key is in AJEMS under Settings › JSON Builder.
1

Open connector settings in Claude

In Claude on the web or desktop, go to Settings Connectors and choose Add custom connector.

2

Paste the AJEMS address

Give the connector a name such as AJEMS, then paste this address:

https://mcp.ajems.com/mcp

Leave the OAuth client fields empty, then save.

Include the /mcp ending. Without it Claude signs in successfully but then reports that no server was found.
3

Sign in to your workspace

Click Connect. The AJEMS sign-in page opens. Enter:

  • Organisation nameThe subdomain of your AJEMS workspace, for example kathaa.
  • Secret keyFound in AJEMS under Settings › JSON Builder. Sent as the X-Json-Builder-Secret-Key header.

Your secret key stays on the AJEMS server. Claude never receives it, and the connector can only reach your own workspace.

4

Turn it on in a chat

Start a new chat, click the + button, open Connectors and switch AJEMS on. Then ask a question, for example: “What forms do I have in AJEMS?”

Claude asks permission the first time it uses each tool. Choose Always allow for the read tools to stop the prompts, and keep the tools that create or change records on approval.

Tool permissions: manage what Claude may do under Settings › Connectors › AJEMS. Each tool can be set to allow automatically, ask every time, or block.

Connected assistants can only reach the workspace you signed in with. To disconnect, remove the connector in Claude under Settings › Connectors.
